Who will shape our next generation?
I am running for Dieringer School Board pos 5 because we have an obligation to teach the next generation both academics AND values.
Academics: Dieringer Schools remain above average academically. That is good, but average is still suffering from COVID shut-down and we need to do better. While teaching is ultimately a parental responsibility, school is where most of us send our children to learn academics. I want to see all of our students recover lost learning and excel academically.
Values: I believe that teaching values is fundamentally a parental responsibility. Sure, schools should and do teach basic values (sharing, honesty, etc.), but now state-written social policies are actively pushing new and controversial values onto your children. That is not their job. I want to increase parental input on such policies and edit/write our own policies to eliminate the teaching of non-academic belief systems and world views. Such topics should be taught in the realm of family and church, not government schools.

A sincere thank you to all who have supported this campaign thus far. The Primary results are in (click below) and the incumbent and I are off to the November 7 General election.
This would not have been possible without the contributors, volunteers and, of course, voters, that want to help keep Olympia politics out of Dieringer schools.
On the way to November I'll need more of the same - funding, volunteers, and voters. Stay tuned for some specific help-needed requests in the near future.
